Who Needs One?
  1. All athletes and cheerleaders who will participate at Mountain Valley or Canyon Lake High School
  2. New Comal ISD athletic policy dictates all athletes need a new physical every year prior to participation.

EVERYTHING CANYON LAKE KIDS EVENTS CALENDAR


The Everything Canyon Lake Kids Events Calendar is a busy parent's best friend!  Need to know what time sports practice ends tonight? when school vacation begins? or where and what time the Hawks CLHS football game begins?

The Calendar settings are public and Parent's are able to set up e-mail and text reminders for events that are specific to their children! I know that I would have forgotten what time or where I had to be to pick up my kids if I didn't get my text message reminders!

Summer Day Camps for Canyon Lake Youth


Learn to sail right here at Canyon Lake!

Lake Canyon Yacht Club holds 6 one-week camps from 9 am to 4 pm each day for kids from ages 8 to 18; four sessions teach basic sailing procedures for your beginning sailors and two of the sessions teach advanced sailing techniques for kids who have already completed the basic sailing camp.  This camp is great fun for kids who love the water and want to learn how to sail!                 Sailing Camp Brochure

Youth Football and Cheer Boot Camp

Every June, the Canyon Lake Hawks Youth Football League holds a 4 day FUN-FILLED boot camp for Canyon Lake kids who either plan to register for the new season or want to try it out for the first time to if they like football or cheer before the start of the new season-The 2013 dates have not been released yet but the camp is usually scheduled for the end of the month and it runs Monday through Thursday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm. Will update this info as soon as they release the new dates or watch the official Canyon Lake Hawk Youth Football League's site for updates!

Canyon Lake Divers Scuba Camp

Scuba Camps are divided into two age groups. 8-12 year olds with little or no pool or confined water ex perience do best in the Bubble Maker Scuba Camps, while 10-14 yr olds with basic or intermediate experience levels excel in the Seal Team Scuba Camps. Scuba Camps are suitable for boys and girls alike. Games like underwater torpedo toss, underwater obstacle course, underwater ping pong ball spoon races, pool surface speed races, snorkeling practice and underwater photography, keep the children interested while learning life lessons they will never forget. The POWERHOUSE Indoor Sports Facility

Located on 46W in Spring branch, just past Smithson Valley High School, they offer a variety of 3 day Baseball, Football, and "All Sports" camps being offered in 3 hour sessions Powerhouse Athletics Schedules and Fees

Aquatic Science Adventure Camps at the Edwards Aquifer Research Center              2013 Session Dates, Fees, and Ages

Mornings are devoted to educational activities related to the Edwards Aquifer, aquatic biology and water chemistry. Afternoons are filled with a variety of fun, aquatic activities designed to enhance appreciation for aquatic resources, particularly groundwater. These activities include:
- Tubing on the San Marcos River
- Glass-Bottom boat ride at  AquarenaCenter
- Scuba/Snorkeling at local dive facility

Comal ISD Community Education Summer Youth Programs


  • INTRODUCING… COMAL ISD ENRICHMENT CAMPS! Comal ISD teachers have developed intense camps designed for students, aged 8-12, interested in engineering, writing, history, or art. Each camp is from Mon-Fri from 9 am to 3 pm with your choice of at least 3 different sessions and locations
  • Swimming Lessons at Canyon Lake High School both Level 1 and Level 2 lessons available. Classes held Monday thru Thursday, June 10-20, between 9 and 10 am
  • Kid's Camps with so many choices! From Lego Engineering to Texas Cheer Camps, from Golf to Drama Camps, from Arts and Science Camps to "Busy Bodies" for the younger set.  Camps vary in length, cost and location.

New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Summer Programs

  • Camp Minnehaha is a Day Camp Program for kids ages 5-12 running every week between June 3-August 23 from 7:30 am to 6 pm at Landa Park Recreation Center. Kids will participate in arts and crafts, sports and games, nature and science, performing arts, cooking projects, special events and so much more! The camp is reasonably priced for parents who need a day care solution during the summer!
  • Swim Lesson Programs are offered for every skill level using the highly regarded American Red Cross Learn to Swim and Longfellow’s Whales Tales programs. Their lessons start with a "parent/baby" program and increase in skill levels all the way up to junior lifeguard and fully certified life guard training.  In addition, the Landa Park Dolphins Swim Team is a competitive team for all ages that want to get better at their competitive swim strokes, make new friends and stay in shape during the summer.
